Educational Programs
CAGNO is currently pioneering many innovative cancer education and prevention programs. CAGNO supports the Southeast Louisiana community by providing educational and informational seminars and materials ranging from basic questions about cancer itself to intricate details regarding the most current cancer treatment options. CAGNO also provides information on tobacco prevention and cessation, particularly conducting cessation programs for those wishing to quit tobacco. In light of the havoc and tragedy wracked by recent hurricanes, many of the residents of New Orleans and the surrounding metropolitan area are experiencing overwhelming feelings of loss, sadness and stress, among other things, because of their traumatic experiences. To help community members manage their stress, CAGNO's Health Educator offers Stress Management seminars to school students, business employees or members of an organization. If you would like to schedule a free seminar for your school, business, or organization, please contact Ashlee at Ashlee@cagno.org or by calling 504.733.5539. We, at CAGNO, would like to help our neighbors in any way we can. Together, the human spirit will prevail!
